Why Join HIIP?
We are thrilled to invite your hospital to participate in the Hospital Improvement and Investment Program (HIIP). Developed through a collaborative partnership among the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH), Wintergreen, and the Rural Evaluation Group (REG), HIIP is a new initiative designed to champion the incredible work being done by rural across the country. This program provides a structured, highly supportive framework to help you implement operational recommendations and quantify the true financial impact of your improvement project.
Is there cost to participate?
HIIP is entirely free of charge and has three primary goals designed to benefit your organization and
the broader rural healthcare community.
What do I get?
• Implementation Support: To assist your hospital in successfully executing the
recommendations provided through your recent Wintergreen advisory project.
• Financial Quantification: To calculate a clear, defensible Return on Investment (ROI) that
highlights the potential financial impact and new revenue opportunities generated by your
team’s hard work.
• Advocacy and Insight: To provide aggregated, de-identified insights to state and federal
granting organizations—specifically the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy—demonstrating
the vital importance and effectiveness of Flex and SHIP grant funding.
